The Giants answered right back in the 2nd inning as Wilmer Flores smashed his 6th home run of the year that tied the game at two a piece.
Pitching and defense took over for the next few innings, but in the 5th inning, the Yankees broke the tie and exploded for five runs.

Goldschmidt drove in his second RBI of the day as well off a ground-rule double over the right field wall. Young guns Anthony Volpe and Jasson Dominguez finished off the 5th inning with an RBI each, giving the Yankees a 7-2 lead.
